'American Idol' executive producer talks about a possible early release of Pia's album, and explains why the record won't distract the public from the show's upcoming winner.

AceShowbiz - Pia Toscano's debut album might come out before the champ of "American Idol" season 10 drops his/her own record, according to executive producer Ken Warwick. He said that if it indeed comes out sooner rather than later, he's adamant the record would not jeopardize the success of the upcoming winner.

Talking about that matter in a conference call, the "Idol" producer first discussed a potential early album release from Pia or any other "Idol" outcasts. "I don't know exactly what the plans for Pia are now, but I know that if I was in the record company's seat, I would be looking to get her out as early as possible while there is all this buzz about her," he stated.

Ken later admitted that he used to worry about the public being distracted by the attention surrounding the castoffs. "In the old days, it was a concern of ours, but the truth of the matter is, is that as time's gone on, we realize that, really so often, the big star doesn't come from the winner. It comes from either the Top 5 or the Top 10, or whatever," he shared.

Explaining why it doesn't matter anymore, he said in further statement, "The kids are so diverse this year that it's very likely the music direction that the winner goes in will very likely be different than the big power ballads that Pia sings. So... we think that they're probably going to be slightly different markets... it doesn't worry us."
