After she was given a break to deal with her personal problem, the 18-year-old star has confirmed that she won't appear on the show anymore.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato is leaving "Sonny with a Chance" for good. The actress was given a break when she entered rehab late last year and now she has announced that she will not return to the Disney show. "I don't think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery," she explains the reason to People magazine. "Being in front of a camera would make me nervous."

The 18-year-old cutie shares that she will now focus on her singing career, "It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music." She adds, "It's kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn't be a better time for me to move on."

Disney, which has shown support since Demi sought treatment for her personal matters, respects her decision. The network's rep says in a statement, "We respect Demi's decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career. She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity."

Demi entered rehab for her "physical and emotional issues" last October. When "Sonny with a Chance" began shooting earlier this year, Disney asked the writers to focus on "So Random!" which is a sitcom inside "Sonny".

The former girlfriend of Joe Jonas completed her treatment and returned to Los Angeles in January. It has been reported that she would prepare a new album and embark on a tour this year.
