Responding to Warner Bros.' allegation that the actor made up the story, Marty Singer states, 'Charlie did not lie about the discussions. There WERE discussions.'

AceShowbiz - Things are getting complicated between Charlie Sheen and Warner Bros. The company recently said the actor lied about their camp having discussions with him to talk about his future on "Two and a Half Men", and now Charlie's lawyer has fired back at WB.

Marty Singer who represents Charlie insists, "There have been discussions as late as Tuesday, and all parties have been involved - Warner Bros., CBS, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen." He tells TMZ the allegation that there were "no discussions" about Charlie returning to the CBS show are "absolutely false".

Marty goes on sharing, "Charlie Sheen was recently approached by a third party to resolve this matter," without mentioning the "third party". He affirms, "Charlie did not lie about the discussions. There WERE discussions."

The latest war of words began when Charlie told Sports Hub 98.5 WBZ-FM on Tuesday, April 12 that there was "85 percent" chance he would return to the comedy series. He stated, "There's been discussions, but I was asked not to divulge anything."

Later, WB fired off a letter to Charlie's lawyer. "Those statements are false. As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series," so the letter read.

Marty believes the letter was sent as a reaction to a "blistering letter" he sent earlier to WB in which he claimed the company violated its contract with Charlie by refusing to send him an accounting statement and payment in December 2010.

The 45-year-old actor indeed opened up in the radio interview that his money from his portion of the syndication profits from "Two and a Half Men" was being withheld.
