Haley Reinhart tries to win people's heart with 'Call Me' in 'Songs from the Movies' week, but she does not nail it.

AceShowbiz - It's all about songs from the movies on "American Idol" this week. Following the success of his last week's performance, Paul McDonald once again went crazy with "Old Time Rock and Roll" from "Risky Business". He successfully heated up the night, though his voice was not very special.

"I love your crazy, wild abandon, man...I liked it," Steven Tyler quipped. Jennifer Lopez was also amused, saying, "It's just so great to watch...Good job." Randy Jackson could not say anything but agreed, "I loved that."

Lauren Alaina picked a teen song, "The Climb" from Miley Cyrus' "Hannah Montana: The Movie". Randy thought "the Lauren that we first saw in Nashville is roaring back," and Steven added, "I love what you bring to a song and I love more what a song brings to you."

Stefano Langone did "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men which is featured in "Boomerang". "This is so not the end of the road for you," Steven commented, playing with the song's title. "You are back...You made the right move at the right time," Randy gushed, and J.Lo simply said, "You got it."

George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" from "Pure Country" was Scotty McCreery's choice. He initially wanted to sing "Everybody's Talkin' ", but he made a right decision as J.Lo admitted she is charmed by him and other male contestants in the competition. "Everybody wants us to be tough, but you guys are just so damn good!" she said, probably referring to the talks that girls offend the female contestants.

Casey Abrams went "Nature Boy" by Nat King Cole and got standing ovation from the judges. After his "good job", J.Lo compared him to Norah Jones. Randy declared Casey is one of "real true artists on the show" and sent a message, "I hope America gets this." Steve added, "You do what's in your heart...You are so good, man."

Haley Reinhart tried to get people's attention with Blondie's "Call Me" from "American Gigolo", but she failed. Though J.Lo said she wants the girls to stick around, she admitted, "It wasn't the best." Randy went more detail with his comment, "I didn't love the beginning of it...It wasn't a singer's song."

Next, Jacob Lusk sang "Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water" which was suggested by Jimmy Iovine. He managed to give J.Lo the chills, and got praise from Steven, "It's astounding to me how angelic you sing." Randy concluded, "Great job, very controlled."

James Durbin closed the night with "Heavy Metal". He was accompanied by Zakk Wylde on guitar. Steven said it was "outstanding," while J.Lo though "that felt really, really real." Randy gushed, "This is unbelievable, man...Tonight you did you."

Voting result for their performances will be revealed on Thursday, April 14 when another contestant will be sent home like Pia Toscano last week.
