AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin will probably join Woody Allen's new project. Deadline reports that the "30 Rock" star has signed up for the forthcoming movie, although there is no word on what character he will play.
In addition to Baldwin who has worked with Allen in 1990's comedy film "Alice", Jesse Eisenberg could also be part of the unnamed project, which will be shot in Rome. Words are, the star of "The Social Network" is in line for a lead role.
Previously, Penelope Cruz has been rumored to take the main role in this untitled Woody Allen project. At that time, the actress said, "I know [what I'm doing next], but the thing is that I have to ask the director what I can say and what I cannot say."
Baldwin is best known for his role on NBC TV comedy "30 Rock", portraying Jack Donaghy. Through his role, he has won a series of awards, including Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for five consecutive years since 2006. He will allegedly star in "Rock of Ages" alongside Tom Cruise, Paul Giamatti, and Julianne Hough.
Allen's project is expected to hit theaters across the nation in 2012. In addition to serving behind the lens, Allen also writes the script for the drama comedy. Letty Aronson will produce it.
