Music

The Mr. Schuester of 'Glee' will begin the tour on June 18, and will perform at the KIIS-FM music festival on May 14.

AceShowbiz - Matthew Morrison has mapped out a massive tour to promote his upcoming debut album. The "Glee" star is going to start the traveling show on June 18 at Orpheum Theatre in Matneapolis, MN, and will continue it at least until July 23 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Matthew will perform not only songs from the new album but also many of the "Glee" fan favorites. His opening act will be a local school glee club which will be chosen via an audition held in conjunction with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Entries can be submitted on his official website.

Original contents for the tour, some of which will be incorporated into the live show, are going to be made by the Will Schuester depicter in partnership with Funny Or Die. The video is set to premiere exclusively on the Will Ferrell comedy website sometime this year.

Before going on a tour, Matthew will rock Wango Tango music festival on May 14. He joins previously-announced musical guests Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, Far East Movement, Jason Derulo, Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain, New Boyz, Cobra Starship, Cody Simpson, and Pitbull (with special performance from Jennifer Lopez).

Prior to his engagement at the 102.7 KIIS-FM annual festivity which will take place at the Staples Center in Downtown L.A., Matthew will perform "Summer Rain" live on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on April 6, and sing it on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on April 11.

Co-written by Matthew with Claude Kelly and Norwegian duo known as Espionage, "Summer Rain" is the first single from his upcoming debut album. The self-titled CD is set for May 10 U.S. release and will feature duet with Elton John and Gwyneth Paltrow. Most recently, a cover art for the effort was unveiled on his Facebook.
