Ruling out Britney Spears' lip-sync performances, Miley says aspiring artists like Rebecca Black should work harder to be an artist.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus is not a fan of lip-sync artists and internet sensations. In an interview with Australia's The Telegraph to promote her upcoming tour, she blasts those preferring to mime their songs rather than singing live, "I would rather someone say I sang like crap than have people see me lip-sync."

Talking about today's aspiring singers who use YouTube to gain fame, Miley stated, "It should be harder to be an artist." In a further statement, the "Can't Be Tamed" singer added, "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour."

Although the former "Hannah Montana" star didn't mention any name, many people quickly link her statement as a diss to Britney Spears and Rebecca Black. The former is well known for her lip-sync concerts, while the latter gained overnight fame via her viral hit "Friday".

Commenting on today's social networking trend, Miley gushed, "I do not Tweet, I do not social network, I try to stay out of it... for me, I complain enough about people knowing too much about my private life, so to go out there and exploit myself would be silly and hypocritical of what I stand for."

Miley will kick off her tour dubbed "Gypsy Heart" on April 29. "The Gypsy Heart tour is a dream come true. Not only because of all the beautiful cities I will get to visit, but all of the beautiful people I will get to meet. Gypsy Heart is not just a tour for me, but a mission to spread love," she said.

She is going to start the Australian leg on June 21. "I don't want to cross out the Australian boys but I may or may not be single," said the songstress who once dated Aussie hunk Liam Hemsworth. "I'm definitely not coming to Australia single."
