AceShowbiz - Hollywood is mourning the loss of one of its legend. In the wake of Elizabeth Taylor's passing in the early hours of Wednesday, March 23, many celebrities have turned to Twitter and other media to pay their tribute to and share their memories of the screen legend. Kim Kardashian, Mariah Carey and Victoria Adams are some of them.

Kim, who recently got the chance to interview Liz for the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, wrote on her Twitter, "I am so saddened about the passing of Elizabeth Taylor! She will always be my idol!" She isn't the only Kardashian sister who publicly mourned the silver-screen icon. Her sisters, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, tweeted their reactions as well.

Khloe tweeted "RIP to the glamour goddess Elizabeth Taylor. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Thank you for the memories." Shortly after, Kourtney came out with a posting that read, "A legendary woman has left us today. The world will not be the same without her beauty, glamour, generosity, and gift of giving."

Pop diva Mariah also took to Twitter to mourn the loss. She wrote, "R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor an incomparable legend who will live forever." Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria, in the meantime, remembered her beauty, writing "The world has lost a truly iconic beauty, inside and out. Elizabeth Taylor will be deeply missed."

Also admiring Liz's inside and out beauty was Paris Hilton. The socialite, who is the great-niece of Liz's first husband, Conrad "Nicky" Hilton Jr., shared, "So sad to hear about Elizabeth Taylor. She was so beautiful, such an inspiration and an icon. She was an amazing humanitarian and brought smiles to everyone around the world. She was always so sweet to me and I will really miss her."

77-year-old Larry King also remembered Liz on Twitter. He shared, "Elizabeth Taylor was a great friend, a great star and one gutsy woman. She was so special. You won't see the likes of her again. If Elizabeth took on a battle, she took it on 100|percent|. She was first major celeb in the AIDS battle and she made it her cause."

Madonna and Michael Jackson's brother Tito Jackson, meanwhile, released statement in response to Liz's passing. Expressing her condolence, Madonna told Us Magazine, "I am so sorry to hear that this great legend has passed. I admired and respected her not only as an actress but for her amazing and inspiring work as an AIDS activist. She was one of a kind."

In another statement, Tito also shared his admiration to Liz's humanitarian efforts. "Elizabeth Taylor was an impactful person in this industry and on society as a whole," he said. "I specifically admire her charitable efforts including bringing early awareness to HIV/AIDS."

"Most memorable is her steadfast loyalty and unwavering friendship to my late brother Michael Jackson," his statement continued to read. "Liz provided a sense of relief and comfort to my brother at various difficult times in his life, and I appreciate that, may she rest in peace."
