Nate Dogg Believed to Have Died of Complications From Strokes

AceShowbiz - The official cause of Nate Dogg's death has yet to be determined, but the two strokes he suffered in 2007 and 2008 might have contributed to his passing. Rod McGrew, the notorious rapper's close friend and manager, has told TMZ that his family believed he has died of complications stemming from the health crises.

Rod furthermore shared although Nate has been struggling with serious health problems, his death came unexpected. The manager noted that the 41-year-old rapper was "making significant progress in his recovery" from his 2008 stroke. Rod said that the West Coast artist had "cognitively fully recovered", claiming he regained his memory and was fully alert and aware until his final days.

Additionally, Rod has released a statement on behalf of Nate's family. "We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support," the statement read. "We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie."

Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathaniel D. Hale, passed away in his home town of Long Beach, California on Tuesday night, March 15. Since news of his sudden passing broke, many Hip-Hop stars have paid tribute to the rapper. Snoop Dogg, in particular, tweeted, "We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met."

Snoop, who went to school with Nate, followed it up with a tweet that read, "I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit." In two others, he wrote, "I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brotha bigg snoopdogg!!"
