'Rio' Shares Romantic Scenes in New Clips

March 15, 2011, 8:58 am GMT

Blu is wooing a female macaw bird in one clip, and humans are trying to hook the two birds up with Lionel Richie's song in another clip.

Two new clips from "Rio" have gone online, this time giving a sneak peek to the romantic sequence. Blu is seen wooing a female macaw bird in one snippet before things get awry when he is choking up. In the other one, humans are seen trying to hook up the two birds by playing a Lionel Richie song.

Blu is a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind and cannot fly. When Blu discovers there's another - and that she's a she - he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's many wonders.

Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, George Lopez, will.i.am and Jamie Foxx are among those providing voice for the characters in this movie. Directed by Carlos Saldanha, animated film "Rio" will hit 3-D theaters in the U.S. on April 15.
