The former member of 98 Degrees will perform the fresh track live this upcoming Saturday night during the 2011 Big East Men's Basketball Championship finals

AceShowbiz - Nick Lachey has a brand new song, and he's unveiled it on his official website. It's titled "One Last Standing" and chosen as this year's Big East anthem. It will be performed live by him for the very first time during ESPN's broadcast of the 2011 Men's Basketball Championship finals on Saturday night, March 12.

"Each of our 5,500-plus student-athletes at our 16 member institutions embody the message of this song each time they take the court or field," Commissioner John Marinatto said. "It is so appropriate for us to release this song while at the 2011 BIG EAST Men's Basketball Championship. With the potential for 11 conference teams to be selected for the NCAA Tournament this year, the last team standing will have survived the most difficult conference tournament in the country."

Nick himself said, "As a Cincinnati native, I have had a passion for college athletics and the University of Cincinnati. I have grown a strong affinity to the BIG EAST since it joined the conference, and think that this song represents the true test that these inspiring student-athletes face by competing in this league."

Just two months earlier, Nick Lachey who is engaged to Vanessa Minnillo also posted a few new tracks he's been working on. There are six in total, and they have such titles as "Without You", "When It Falls Apart", "Something About You" and "It's You". It's not known what project he recorded them for.
