'Silent Hill: Revelation' Starts Filming, First Look Unraveled

The production for the sequel to 2006 'Silent Hill' is kicked off March 7 in Toronto with Adelaide Clemens cast in starring role.

AceShowbiz - Four years after the success of the first film, "Silent Hill" sequel has finally gone into production. It was announced on March 7 that the principal photography for "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" commenced the same day in Toronto, Canada, and that Adelaide Clemens ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine") and Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones") sign up to star in it.

"Adelaide is breaking out of the indie world with commercial features such as 'X-Men' and the upcoming 'Mad Max: Fury Road'. She and Kit are emerging young talent and their chemistry and dynamics make them a brilliant addition to the 'Silent Hill' team," producer Don Carmody said of the two actors. First official look at Clemens who plays Heather Mason in the film has additionally been shared, seeing her pointing a gun.

"Revelations" will build on the father-daughter storyline from the 2006 movie. The plotline says, "For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."

"Solomon Kane" director Michael J. Bassett is serving behind the lens for the upcoming horror thriller while Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody are producing. No release date is set for the movie yet.
