Although it started shaky with Ta-Tynisa Wilson's performance, the show was getting better and better in the last three acts.

AceShowbiz - The Top 12 women of "American Idol" season 10 charmed the judges with the first performance before audience. The March 2 episode started out rough with Ta-Tynisa Wilson singing Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)". Randy Jackson said it was not good and showed no uniqueness but Jennifer Lopez appreciated her stage presence.

Naima Adedapo brought the mood a notch higher with frequently-sung "Summertime" which was topped with sultry voice and finger snapping. "You're like an exotic flower," Jennifer said while Steven Tyler said it reminded him of an early Ella Fitzgerald. Kendra Chantelle sang the "Impossible" and Steven gushed, "You did it again, voice hot, clothes hot, style hot."

Rachel Zevita twisted Fiona Apple's "Criminal" to jazzy tune and emerged with red skirt underneath a cape. "A little too Broadway for me, not that that's a bad thing, Broadway could be your niche," Steven commented. Meanwhile, Karen Rodriguez mixed English and Spanish rendition of Mariah Carey's "Hero" and got a lot of "wow" from Jennifer.

Lauren Turner tried out Etta James' "Seven Day Fool". The three judges agreed that it was a spectacular performance with Steven describing it, "I loved it, it was a perfect, clean, complete sentence." Randy and co were still happy after that when Ashthon Jones sang "Love All Over Me". Jennifer said Ashthon has all the makings of a diva.

Julie Zorrilla took the risk of comparison with Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway". Randy said it was pale compared to the original one and the others nodded. Similarly, Randy was not pleased as well with Haley Reinhart who growled through Alicia Keys' "Fallin' ". However, Jennifer liked the "different colors" in her voice.

Thia Megia, got a single spotlight while singing "Out Here on My Own" from "Fame". Steven can't believe she was 15 and Randy liked it so much that he compared her to young Michael Jackson. But the judges were even more pleased with the next contestant, Lauren Alaina. She tested her country skill in Reba McEntire's "Turn on the Radio" which had Randy saying it's a mix of Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

Pia Toscano was the last act of the day with The Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You." She moved the crowd with the high notes at the end. The judges gave her a standing ovation. Steven said, "That was gorgeous, congrats" and Jennifer said it was "out of this world".

On Thursday, America will find out which five men and five women make it through the top 13 through their votes and which three others are saved by the judges.
