The rapper, his brother and another person have been detained following the shooting in North Carolina, but Waka was not injured in the incident.

has dodged bullets in a gun battle in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 16. Police says Waka was getting a stereo installed into his tour bus at the Car Stereo Warehouse on E. Independence Boulevard when two cars pulled up next to the bus and opened fire to the bus and the electronics store.

Waka's bus sustained at least four shots and the rapper has tweeted to inform that he was not injured in the incident. His representative confirms his security team returned fire on the cars and reportedly hit at least one of them. Police tells WCNC that the man, shot in the shoulder, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Waka has been detained along with his brother and another person, but they have not been arrested. The site additionally says police are talking to a number of people at the scene and are getting conflicting stories.
