Daniel Radcliffe Signs On to Be 'The Amateur Photographer'

The 'Harry Potter' star is set to take a lead role in the indie movie to be directed by Emmy-nominated scribe Christopher Monger.

AceShowbiz - Daniel Radcliffe has picked an indie project as his next starring movie after wrapping famous franchise "Harry Potter". The British actor has signed up to star in "The Amateur Photographer" based on a novel with the same title by Christopher Monger, who recently got Emmy nomination for writing TV movie "Temple Grandin".

Set in 1970's New England, the story will revolve around a man (Radcliffe's character) who discovers his artistic calling after being recruited by the citizens of a small mill town to serve as photographer of their most intimate moments. Monger will direct the movie from his own screenplay.

Daniel Radcliffe recently finished filming horror thriller "The Woman in Black" which is yet to get a release date. He will next appear in the last installment of "Harry Potter" series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II", which is set to arrive July 15 in the U.S.
