Panic At the Disco Debut 'Ballad of Mona Lisa' Music Video

Duo Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith appear in the Shane Drake-directed music video as ghosts.

's music video filmed to support their new single "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" has just arrived in full. appears as a ghost, leading a young girl to warn people in the room about who's the evil one.

The music video was shot in Los Angeles with their longtime collaborator Shane Drake serving behind the lens. Drake previously directed the group's music videos for "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" and "Nine in the Afternoon".

"Ballad of Mona Lisa" is the first single from Panic At the Disco's upcoming studio album "". "I think there's songs like [first single 'The Ballad of] Mona Lisa' that come from the similar vein as Fever [You Can't Sweat Out]," Brendon told MTV, referring to the band's debut album.

"That being said, I don't know if it could fit on Fever. ... I think it was a new band, it was a new start when Spencer and I started writing, so it was gonna end up sounding different, sonically. But maybe some songs were a progression from the first record."

"Vices & Virtues" is due in the United States on March 29. Produced by Butch Walker (, ) and John Feldmann (, ), the album marks the band's first new release in three years, as well as their debut outing as a duo comprised of Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith.
