'Under the Boardwalk' and 'Gordie Shore' are looking for the perfect cast members to live together in the same house and make troubles.

AceShowbiz - The success of "Jersey Shore" has inspired not only MTV U.S. to create spin-offs but also a lot of producers to work on a similar project. In the past few days alone, there came reports that there would be an all-gay version as well as a British edition.

A casting call has been launched to find 10 gays and lesbians to be the next Snooki or The Situation for a show tentatively called "Under the Boardwalk". The auditions will be held on February 5 at Club In Or Out in Hammonton, New Jersey. The pilot will be shot this spring in Atlantic City. "I think it will be fascinating," said producer Kim Friedman.

One girl named Erica McLelland claimed to have what it takes, saying in a clip, "I'm like a Snooki but a gay version which is 20 times worse I'm a lipstick lesbian and we are all crazy jealous. If I'm living in a house with someone like me, there's going to be a problem!"

Meanwhile the U.K. version is set in Newcastle, featuring 12 "Geordies" who have never met before and will live under the same roof. "We want Newcastle's hottest, funniest and fittest people for this exciting new show. We want people who are proud of their Geordie roots, love to party, are good-looking, can turn heads and are up for a laugh," MTV's spokesperson said.

The cast is going to include a mixture of wannabe models, singers, actors and party girls. Director of television for MTV Networks U.K., Kerry Taylor, said it would be "loosely based on the American show". Called "Geordie Shore", it will air on MTV in the U.K. in late spring or early summer.
