Justin Bieber Gets 3 'Worst' Nominations at 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards

January 25, 2011, 7:56 am GMT

The 'Baby' hitmaker is not so lucky as he is nominated for Villain of the Year, Least Stylish and Worst Album at the NME awards show.

Despite being hailed the best at some coveted prize-giving events, Justin Bieber ends up bagging three nominations in 'worst' and 'least' departments of 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards. The pint-sized singer is up for Villain of the Year along with Axl Rose, David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Simon Cowell.

Last year's winner of the meanest character is Kanye West. Now, the rap mogul gets three nods for Best Solo Artist, Best Band Blog or Twitter and Hero of the Year. In the latest category, he is facing off the likes of Gerard Way, Julian Assange and Lady GaGa.

Also, Bieber's choice of fashion made him appear as one of the nominees for Least Stylish star. He is listed in this category alongside Cheryl Cole, Ke$ha, GaGa and Liam Gallagher. His third chance to win a 'prize' in the upcoming prize-giving event comes from his debut album "My World".

The 2009 effort is up for Worst Album. It goes head-to-head with Cole's "Messy Little Raindrops", Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream", Kings of Leon's "Come Around Sundown" and My Chemical Romance's "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys".

Next, Jonas Brothers who were voted Worst Band in 2009 are once again nominated for the category this year. They are vying for the title with 30 Seconds to Mars, JLS, Kings of Leon and Tokio Hotel. The three brothers were previously handed Worst Album in 2009 and 2010.

Beside recognizing the best and the worst in music, this awards show also honors TV and movie works. "Misfits", "Never Mind the Buzzcocks", "Peep Show", "Skins" and "The Inbetweeners" are battling for Best TV Show. Meanwhile, "Get Him to the Greek", "Inception", "Kick-Ass", "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" and "The Social Network" are competing for Best Film.

Voting to determine the winners has been open on NME official site. The trophies will be handed at the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton on February 23. Special honoree is Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl who is set to be crowned Godllike Genius.
