AceShowbiz - Getting a lot of fans could not save "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" and "The Last Airbender" from being named the worsts. The vampire drama film and the 3-D big screen adaptation of the TV series lead the pack of the 31st Annual Razzie Awards nominees with both vying for the Worst Picture trophy.
Other potential Worst Pictures are "The Bounty Hunter", "Sex and the City 2" and "Vampires Suck". Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel category sees nominations which are not afar from Worst Picture, mentioning "Eclipse", "Last Airbender", "SATC 2" and "Vampires Suck" once again alongside "Clash of the Titans".
"Twilight" hunks Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are Worst Actor nominees while Kristen Stewart lands nod for Worst Actress. They and the rest of "Eclipse" cast members are nominated for Worst Screen Couple/Ensemble, sharing the "honor" with "Sex and the City" and "Last Airbender" cast ensembles as well as Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler of "The Bounty Hunter" and Josh Brolin's face and Megan Fox's accent in "Jonah Hex".
"Eclipse" and "Last Airbender" additionally fight off each other in Worst Director and Worst Screenplay categories. The sci-fi flick from M. Night Shyamalan is also criticized for the Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D, joining "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore", "Clash of the Titans", "The Nutcracker in 3D" and "Saw 3D".
These Razzie Awards nominations were announced on January 24, a day before Oscars unveil its own nominations list. The so-called "winners of the worsts" will be awarded on Hollywood's Barnsdall Gallery Theatre on Saturday, February 26, followed by Oscars gala on Sunday, February 27.
