'Life Unexpected' Signed Off With Fast Forward
TV

Fans of the CW drama get to see what happen two years ahead, which would force the writers to tie a lot of loose ends if the show is given a renewal.

AceShowbiz - While The CW remains mum on the fate of "Life Unexpected", the show quietly signed off on Tuesday, January 18 with two hour episodes which could both serve as the season and series finale. [Spoiler Alert] Five minutes into the end, the show jumped two years later to Lux's graduation and a lot have changed since.

Should the show return for season 3, they have a lot of explaining to do including how Lux ends up with Jones and Tasha is okay with it. But more importantly, how Cate and Baze turn up to be a couple after all and Ryan is happy with Julia and their son. Less explanation is required for Math's girlfriend's pregnancy.

Just before the finale aired, creator Liz Tigelaar told Los Angeles Times, "I feel like it was a coming of age story for Kate, Baze and Lux. And I think by the end, they all get to where they are supposed to be. I think that people will be really happy with it."

Tigelaar indeed admitted that they were rushing the episode due to the uncertainty. She said, "I got the news officially the night before we started prepping the very last episode so it didn't give us a lot of time to readjust so that was disappointing. It was kind of hinted at a couple weeks before that, but then kind of taken back. I was kind of starting to get the feeling but you have to keep going; you have to act like you're still going."

Starting January 25, the Tuesday slot will be taken by "Hellcats".
