2011 People's Choice Awards Nominees in Music

Katy Perry dominates the nominations list with five nods, while Eminem and Lady GaGa follow her closely with four each.

The battle to win the 37th Annual People's Choice Awards has begun. Announced in a press conference in Hollywood, big stars like , and get multiple nominations in music field. Perry leads the pack with five nods, while the Slim Shady and GaGa follow her with four each.

The "California Gurls" hitmaker goes head-to-head with the rapper and the Mother Monster in two categories, Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video. She additionally faces off and in the former field, and competes against and in the latter.

Also, Perry meets GaGa again in a bid to win Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Pop Artist, joining such competitors as , , , and . She gets her fifth nod in Favorite Web Celeb, battling , , and .

After losing Favorite Male at the recent European Music Awards, Eminem luckily gets a nomination in the same category in this upcoming awards. This time around, the MC has to win over , , and Usher. He also joins the battle of Favorite Hip-Hop Artist along with , , and .

The other artists who receive more than one nod include Bieber, Swift, Underwood and Knowles. Voting to determine the winners, including those in TV and movie, will be opened at PeoplesChoice.com until December 7. The winners will be announced in a ceremony to be held on January 5 next year at the Nokia Theatre.
