AceShowbiz - New pictures from two animated films, "The Smurfs" and "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn", have emerged online. Posted on Coming Soon, the "Smurfs" promo image that is reported found at an auction benefiting Toys for Tots gives the first look at Smurfette and Brainy Smurf in addition to showing previously seen Papa Smurf and Grumpy Smurf.
Meanwhile, more pictures from "The Adventures of Tintin" come via Empire Magazine. One image shows Tintin pointing his gun to Barnaby, and another offers a glimpse of Detectives Thomson and Thompson as well as thief Silk. The other shot gives a look at the desert landscape.
"The Smurfs", to be debuted in the U.S. on August 3, 2011, will see Gargamel, who wants to use the Smurfs as charms, discovering the Smurfs' magical village and scatters them into the woods. Accidentally, Clumsy and several other Smurfs are transported to Central Park. As Gargamel pursues them, the blue characters cannot return home easily and must take refuge with a husband and a wife.
As for "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn", it follows Tintin's first encounter with Captain Haddock and the discovery of a clue to the treasure of his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock. They set out to find it with protection from a prison escapee who tried to get the treasure as well as Detectives Thomson and Thompson. The movie will dropped in theaters across the nation on December 23, 2011.
