Black Eyed Peas' New Single 'The Time' Arrives, Sampling 'Dirty Dancing' Song

To mark the beginning of their departure to 'the new sounds and technology,' BEP chose '(I've Had) The Time of My Life' for a sample and twisted it into their own sound.

take it to the dance floor for the lead single of their soon-to-be-released studio album "". The Hip-Hop group sample 1987 hit ballad "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", rise the tempo, and make it into their feel-good song titled "The Time (The Dirty Bit)".

"I've had the time of my life/ And I never felt this way before/ And I swear this is true/ And I owe it all to you," and aka Fergie opened it with borrowed lines from the soundtrack of movie "Dirty Dancing". Together with apl.de.ap and , they have secretly filmed a music video in Los Angeles last week before heading for South American tour.

"I am so excited about our new album...the album comes out nov. 30th...," will.i.am wrote on his DipDive blog. "The beginning is our departure to the new...always pushing new sounds and technology...I cant wait till you experience all that we have been cooking up..."
