'Red' Screening in California Attracts Hollywood Vets

AceShowbiz - The Grauman's Chinese Theater in California became a gathering place for top-notch stars when Summit Entertainment held a special screening for "Red" on Monday, October 11. The movie's cast like Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Karl Urban and Richard Dreyfuss were all seen gracing the red carpet that night.

Additionally, Bruce's "The Expendables" co-star Sylvester Stallone and Jodie Foster came to support the event. Meanwhile, filmmaker Taylor Hackford came to represent his wife Helen Mirren, who is also cast in the movie but was not able to join the special screening.

Among the veteran actors, there were also young stars like Rumer Willis, who accompanied her father Bruce, 50 Cent, Amanda Michalka, Taylor Spreitler and many others. The special screening was held to promote the action movie which is going to hit theaters across the nation this Friday, October 15.

Directed by Robert Schwentke, "Red" tells the story of former black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses who is now living a quiet life. But that only lasts until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah, endangered, Frank reassembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive.
