AceShowbiz - As a fellow pirate, Johnny Depp can do nothing but to visit his buccaneers who "were having a bit of trouble" and asked him to "come and help" them. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, dressed in his full costume of Captain Jack Sparrow, visited the Meridian Primary School after receiving the a-bit-of-trouble letter from nine-year-old pupil named Beatrice Delap.
Depp, accompanied by his entourage who were also dressed in almost-the-same outfits as him, made the surprise visit on Wednesday, October 6. Once he arrived, Depp showed to the excited students Delap's letter. The letter read, "We are a bunch of budding young pirates. Normally we're a right handful, but we're having trouble mutinying against the teachers. We'd love it if you could come and help."
However, instead of helping the students "mutinying against the teachers", Captain Jack Sparrow gave the kids a pirate-style teeth-brushing lesson. Meanwhile, the kids cheered on the pirate crew with a song and Captain Jack Sparrow danced along. According to Daily Mail, the school was given only 10-minute notice before Depp would be arriving.
Beatrice Delap, in the meantime, told London Evening Standart, "It was the most exciting school day ever. I had the idea to write the letter last week after me and a friend went to see the film set. Pat from the school office delivered it." She added, "(Depp) pulled the letter out of his pocket and said he was going to frame it. Then he called me down and gave me a hug."
Johnny Depp is currently in south-east London filming the latest installment of the pirate movie series, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Prior to the surprise visit, Depp was filming at the nearby 18th century Old Naval College.
