GaGa, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce Knowles and Ellen DeGeneres were among media personalities who landed on the list which was topped by First Lady Michelle Obama.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa made it to the top ten of World's 100 Most Powerful Women list launched by Forbes magazine on Wednesday, October 6, joining other outstanding women. The "Poker Face" hitmaker secured the seventh spot, joining First Lady Michelle Obama who was on the top.

By the magazine, GaGa was described as the "new queen of pop" who "single-handedly reinvigorated pop music and pop culture." Obama, in the meantime, was pictured as "a fashion icon and an athletic mother of two" who "has made the office of First Lady her own."

GaGa's pals in showbiz who also landed on the top ten were talk show host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey and singer/fashion designer Beyonce Knowles. Winfrey landed on a higher spot than GaGa - she secured the third place. Meanwhile, Knowles was on number 9, two spots below GaGa.

Rounding up the top ten were Chief Executive of Kraft Foods Irene Rosenfeld on number 2, German Chancellor Angela Merkel on fourth place, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who landed on fifth place, PepsiCo Inc. chairman and chief executive Indra K. Nooyi on sixth place, Westpac Chief Executive Gail Kelly who followed after GaGa, and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on number ten.

Beside GaGa, Winfrey, Knowles and DeGeneres, other media personalities such as Angelina Jolie (No. 21), Katie Couric (No. 22), Arianna Huffington (No. 28), Madonna (No. 29) and Sarah Jessica Parker (No. 45) also made it to this year list, which was based "less on traditional titles and roles and more on creative influence and entrepreneurship," according to Forbes.
