Mark Millar on Kristen Stewart 'Wanted 2' Rumor: No Actors Are Confirmed Yet

Addressing report that the actress would star in the film, the comic book creator says no actors are officially cast since the script has not been finalized.

AceShowbiz - Soon after Angelina Jolie announced her departure from "Wanted" film franchise, rumors surfaced that Kristen Stewart would replace her in "Wanted 2". While the "Twilight" thesp has not denied or confirmed if she is approached for the role, Mark Millar has been willing to clear out the speculation.

"Well it's funny, my daughter was so excited when she heard that," he begins saying when asked by MTV about whether or not Stewart is offered to be the female lead. "I think there had been some conversations but there isn't even a finalized screenplay yet so they definitely can't confirm any actors yet."

As for other details of the reports, the co-creator for "Wanted" comic book explains, "I have heard that she was approached and she said that she was very excited about the idea in an interview...of working with guys like James [McAvoy] or [director Timur Bekmambetov] or whoever but it's all just speculation."

Back in June, Stewart admitted it was "weird" to talk about her possible casting in "Wanted (2008)" sequel because she was only confirmed in "On the Road" and "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn". However, she added that she would love to star in the action movie if the script is good. "I wouldn't just want to be in a mindless blow-up movie. I'm not into it," the 20-year-old star stated.

James McAvoy is expected to reprise his role as Wesley in "Wanted 2" which reportedly will follow him being hunted by other assassins from around the world. Mark Millar previously also hinted that the movie will possibly introduce other fraternities of assassins from around the world, though in the latest interview with MTV he claims the project "is complicated" and he won't be bothered if it ever happens or not.
