AceShowbiz - Those who are curious to know how "Romeo and Juliet" will be seen as an animated flick should check out the first trailer for "Gnomeo and Juliet". Making its way out via Apple, the video gives preview to a secret adventure which takes place in the gardens of common neighborhood.
Garden gnomes come to live when the owners are away and there is a timeless feud between the red gnomes and the blue ones. As expected, a love story of two lovebirds will add to the complication. All of these happen while they still have to look like motionless statues in front of human.
Coming from "Shrek 2" director Kelly Asbury, "Gnomeo and Juliet" is loosely adapted from the Shakespeare's tale. Elton John is among the board of producers and his songs will be featured in the movie.
Lending their voices for the animated characters are James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Jason Statham and Michael Caine among others. This PG-rated fantasy film is scheduled to open wide in theaters across the nation on February 11, 2011.
