The cover version of Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day' is included in the November 9 release and reportedly will be released as the album's lead single.

AceShowbiz - Susan Boyle is gearing up to release her sophomore set. The follow-up to her record-breaking debut "I Dreamed a Dream" is called "The Gift" and going to be made available for purchase in United States on November 9. In anticipation of that, a cover art and tracklisting for the effort are revealed.

The artwork is simple, boasting a picture of the "Britain's Got Talent" alum in a black dress. As for the tracklisting, it unveils a "seasonal collection" of holiday songs and inspirational pop covers. Christmas songs such as "The First Noel", "O Holy Night" and "Away In a Manger" and cover version of unforgettable pop classics like Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" are included.

According to Billboard, chosen as the first single is a beautiful rendition of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" which was supposed to be showcased on "America's Got Talent" earlier this month but canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances related to the song". The revamped track was revealed later on, receiving glowing reviews from music fans. Beside singing solo, Boyle will also make a duet with Amber Stassi, the winner of her online talent contest, on song "Do You Hear What I Hear".

"When making this album, I really wanted the songs to touch hearts," she said. "Music has always been a companion to me, particularly on special occasions. I wanted there to be a mix of songs that would flow with all our moods this holiday season. As much as the season is a time for reflection, it is also a time for fun and enjoyment with those closest to us."
