The viral music video is filled with moving images containing the song's lyrics in 'Captcha' letters.

AceShowbiz - M.I.A. has once again chosen to go viral to promote another track from her latest album "/\/\/\Y/\". This time around, the Sri Lankan-born artist debuts visual accompaniment for "Story to Be Told". Despite the song's title, the clip doesn't have any story to be told. It mostly features chunk of the lyrics in "Captcha" letters which keep zooming in and out as the track progresses.

The viral promotion has been hinted when M.I.A. used YouTube screenshots to promote the album. Prior to that, she stirred controversy with a bloody viral video for a buzz song "Born Free" which was inspired by her Third War upbringing in Sri Lanka. For "Story to Be Told" viral promotion itself, she has bought a domain, yesthelittlepeoplewillneverwinbuttheycanfuckshitup.com.

Led by radio-friendly single "XXXO", "/\/\/\Y/\" has been released since July this year. M.I.A.'s first release since 2007 "Kala", the album debuted at No. 9 on Billboard Hot 200, selling 28,000 copies in its opening week.
