Two Cast Members of J.J. Abrams' 'Super 8' Revealed
Movie

Report says Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning are the first two actors in the sci-fi movie, but their roles are not known yet.

AceShowbiz - Other info from "Super 8" has shed more light on the J.J. Abrams' highly-secretive project. New York Magazine's Vulture claims to have learned the first two cast members of the movie and they are Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning.

Beside the names of those two actors, there is no other information about the casting and their roles are not known either. However, back in May there was a reported casting notice looking for a 13-14 female with a natural beauty, but not the 'cheerleader' type, and a Midwestern feel, which could be the role of 12-year-old Fanning.

Storyline for the movie has not been revealed, but it is rumored that it takes place in 1979 and revolves around three siblings who discover footage of an alien in some Super 8 footage they shot. Shooting is reportedly planned to start late September in Weirton, West Virginia for a possible summer 2011 release.

Kyle Chandler stars as Eric Taylor in "Friday Night Lights" and landed roles in movies such as "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "King Kong". Elle Fanning, meanwhile, has appeared in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and will next be seen in "The Nutcracker in 3D".
