Movie

The English actress goes au naturel when coming to the Odeon, Leicester Square, which is turned into a fake village completed with its grass on September 6.

AceShowbiz - When Hollywood stars were taking a break on Labor Day, some British actors spent the day promoting their film. On Monday, September 6, the cast of "Tamara Drewe" attended the U.K. premiere of the movie at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London. To fit the set of the movie which is a countryside, red carpet rolled outside the building was placed among fake grass and cattle.

Gemma Arterton, who lures men in the film, was still charming in a different way that night. She ditched her make-up to show a natural look with a simple cream dress. On the red carpet, she talked about her title character who is described undergoing plastic surgery, explaining "She's a little bit saucy and a bit promiscuous, but it was fun playing her."

Also supporting the premiere were cast members Lois Winstone, Charlotte Christie, Tamsin Greig, Dominic Cooper, Luke Evans and Roger Allam, director Stephen Frears as well as producer Alison Owen. Additionally, Owen's musician daughter Lily Allen who is currently pregnant was spotted among the attendees.

Based on Posy Simmonds' graphic novel, "Tamara Drewe" follows the title character who has just returned to her hometown in the English countryside. As infatuations, jealousies, love affairs and career ambitions collide among the inhabitants of the neighboring farmsteads, Tamara sets a contemporary comedy of manners into play using the oldest magic in the book - sex appeal.

The movie is set to come out in limited U.S. theaters on October 8.
