Thousands of concertgoers went wild when Miley Cyrus appeared on stage, backing Justin Bieber live in New York during the 'Overboard' set.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber pumped up the crowd attending his sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York with his A-list guests. He was joined by Miley Cyrus when singing one of "My World 2.0" songs "Overboard". Wearing matching black outfit, the two led people screaming loudly whenever they made any physical contact.

Also appearing on stage as special guests are Bieber's mentor Usher, his collaborators Ludacris and Sean Kingston as well as boyband Boyz II Men. Teen pal Jaden Smith who shares screen with him in "Never Say Never" music video also showed up at the August 31 gig.

The Tuesday concert was filmed for Justin Bieber's upcoming 3-D movie and concertgoers were encouraged to wear his favorite color, purple. Director Jon Chu wrote on Twitter after the gig was finished, "Can't wait 4 the world 2 experience @Justinbieber the way Madison Square Garden experienced it tonight. It's going down in history. Feb 2011."

Bieber himself shared his excitement of hitting the stage with his "heroes" hours before the concert. He posted in a series of messages, "IM FEELING GREAT!!! LET's MAKE SOME HISTORY NYC!! MORE SURPRISES THAN EVER TONIGHT!!! THANK U ALL!! 2nite a dream becomes REAL!! Its all really coming 2gether. Tonight I perform with my heroes!"
