The 'Do the Right Thing'-inspired music video urges people to take part in an action to change the world to be a better place.

AceShowbiz - John Legend and The Roots say "Wake Up Everybody" in a new music video supporting their latest joint track. Together with their featured guests Melanie Fiona and Common, they spread message of "no more sleepin' in bed" and urge people to do something to make the world a better place to live.
A cover version of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' 1975 classic song, "Wake Up Everybody" is taken from "Wake Up!", the collaborative album between John Legend and The Roots. The music video was filmed in Brooklyn and is directed by Gil Green.
The album itself will be released in United States on September 21. It will feature soulful music from the 60's and 70's all with an underlying theme of awareness, engagement and consciousness effectively telling listeners to "Wake Up!"
