The performance scene of Kris Allen is mashed up with the ones featuring the Train frontman and a female model Cindy Vela as well as some 'random' imageries.

AceShowbiz - Kris Allen goes to the desert in a music video for his latest single "The Truth". Directed by Aaron Plat, the clip also features performance scene from Allen's collaborator Pat Monahan and a brief appearance from female model Cindy Vela.

The music video was shot in a desert in California. Instead of having a dry land, they were met with heavy rain which turned the desert to a wet, sticky mess on the first day of the filming. "Apparently, in the desert, when it starts raining the ground just turns into mush," Allen told MTV.

"It started to monsoon, man! It was crazy. It was one of the biggest storms I've ever been in but it was almost kind of fun in a way. We were just standing outside, [but] I felt like we had just jumped in the pool," he continued. "Some of [the film trailers] got stuck. We had to leave a piano out here because they couldn't get it in time. I'm sure it's ruined. ... We'll probably still use it though. Maybe it'll look cooler."

Written by Pat Monahan and producer Toby Gad, "The Truth" is lifted from Kris Allen's first major-label studio album "Kris Allen". He rides solo in the album version, but later on teams up with the Train frontman in the single version.
