Jason Bateman Proposes Jennifer Aniston's Name for 'Arrested Development' Movie

The actor says he is going to suggest his 'Switch' co-star for a role in the upcoming film, but it will depend on Aniston's availability and capability to join the project.
Jason Bateman Proposes Jennifer Aniston's Name for 'Arrested Development' Movie

After starring opposite in "" which will grace U.S. theaters on August 20, is apparently keen on teaming up with the actress again. The "" star has revealed that he wants the "Friends" star to join the cast of "".

"Yeah, actually, there's a real good part for her in the 'Arrested Development' movie," Bateman says in an interview with MTV Movie News. Despite his recommendation, Aniston would have to prove herself to get the part as the 41-year-old actor says, "There's no offers on this one. She's gonna have to sing for her supper."

Moreover, Bateman suggests that it will not be easy to get Aniston for "Arrested Development" since she is a busy woman. "I don't know, we'll see if she's available. She's busy. She's pretty famous; I don't know if you've heard of her. She's pretty backed up. Hopefully the guy who's in charge will like her for that part because I'm going to suggest her," he adds.

Asked about the progress of the movie adaptation of TV series with the same title, Bateman cannot say much since he claims there is no significant update. "The truth is that there's really no significant update beyond ... what [creator] Mitch Hurwitz said a couple weeks ago, which was he's got half the script written. He's gotta finish the second half and then the studio's gotta love it and the cast's gotta love it and we all have to ... have time to do it," he states, before affirming "It's happening."

Beside Jason Bateman, other cast members of "Arrested Development" TV series such as , and are expected to reprise their roles in the feature film. The comedy revolves around the members of Bluth family who delve in materialism, selfishness, and their manipulative natures.
