'Twilight' franchise wins big at the Sunday, August 8 ceremony, grabbing eight gongs from 'New Moon' and additional three from 'Eclipse'.

AceShowbiz - 2010 Teen Choice Awards has been held on Sunday, August 8 and the winners have subsequently been unveiled. As it has been easily predicted, "Twilight" film franchise which dominated the list of movie nominees came out as a big winner with eleven nods from "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" and "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" in total.
"New Moon" was named Choice Fantasy Movie and won Choice Liplock prize for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's kissing scene. The on-screen lovers were also picked up as Choice Chemistry based on fans vote. Stewart additionally got a surfboard trophy for being Choice Actress, Fantasy.
Her co-stars Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene got one prize each from Choice Fantasy Movie Actor, Choice Male Scene Stealer and Choice Female Scene Stealer respectively. The other kudo taken home by the second "Twilight" film was Choice Villain for Rachelle Lefevre.
"Eclipse", in the meantime, swept all prizes for Summer Movie categories; Choice Movie, Choice Male Star for Pattinson and Choice Female Star for Stewart. Beside these awards from movie categories, "Twilight" cast got another kudo for having the Most Fanatic Fans.
Far behind "Twilight" domination there were "Avatar" and "Valentine's Day" which nabbed three gongs each. This James Cameron-directed sci-fi got Choice Sci-Fi Movie, Choice Sci-Fi Actress for Zoe Saldana and Choice Sci-Fi Actor for Sam Worthington. As for "Valentine's Day", it was named Choice Romantic Comedy in addition to landing Choice Female Breakout and Choice Rom-Com Actor titles for Taylor Swift and Ashton Kutcher respectively.
This year's Teen Choice Awards took place at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California with Katy Perry serving as a host. The show will be aired by FOX on Monday, August 9 at 8:00 P.M. ET/PT. The annual awards show was held to honor the coolest in movie, music, TV and sports, fashion and more.
