GaGa is excited that she has 'more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history,' while Eminem who follows her with 8 nods says he won't be 'nice' when attending the awards show.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa dominates this year's nominations list of 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Poker Face" hitmaker is vying in 13 categories, including the top honor Video of the Year. This makes her break the MTV record by becoming the singer with the most nominations in a single year.

Calling the event Video Monster Awards, GaGa tweeted after learning her domination, "13 VMA noms lilmonsters. Breakin records+breakin rules. I love you, you Bad Kids are a part of me. PAWS UP!" She additionally issued a statement, "I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history."

"Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number: 13. A long time ago, the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard. Together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: to make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!"

Following GaGa's domination is Eminem. The rap mogul scores eight nods, including Video of the Year where he is facing off GaGa, Florence and the Machine, B.o.B and 30 Seconds to Mars. Commenting on his multiple bids which are topped by GaGa, he jokingly said, "Apparently, MTV doesn't care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs. F me, right?!?! I mean, I'll be there, but don't expect me to be nice about it."

The other musicians who have more than one chance to win a coveted trophy at the prize-giving event include Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Usher, Drake, Jason Derulo, Muse, Pink and Ke$ha. The award which will be given to this year's best newcomer is to be handed either to Ke$ha, Derulo, Nicki Minaj, Broken Bells or Justin Bieber.

"Just found I was nominated for Best New Artist at the VMA's! WOW!!" Bieber wrote on Twitter shortly after learning the news. "I remember walking the red carpet last year and no one knew my name." In line with Bieber's excitement, Ke$ha is also grateful, writing "Holy s**t!!!!!!!!3 VMA nominations...!!! I don't even know what to say. I'm so grateful and thankful and stunned and excited. I can't even put into words actually how much this means to me; ) thank you to every single one of my fans.. !!!!!!!! I'm f**king losing my s**t. I'm so stoked!!!!!"

Minaj also offers her excitement, saying "I feel like I've died and gone to heaven. I definitely thought I'd get one someday, but not before I put the album out. I never thought I'd get a nomination [this year]. ... I didn't even think I'd get invited!"

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12 at 9 P.M. ET/PT. Host, presenters and performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Fans can vote for the winners at vma.mtv.com.
