Mark Wahlberg Enshrined in Hollywood Walk of Fame

The 39-year-old actor was honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame, revealing 'When I heard I was getting this star, I felt like it was a practical joke.'

Oscar-nominated actor was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, July 29. Wahlberg, who has become the 2,414th star to receive the honor, was accompanied by his co-star on his new movie "", , who hosted the unveiling.

"I'm so happy my kids are sitting through this. When I heard I was getting this star, I felt like it was a practical joke," Wahlberg said as quoted by Associated Press. Ferrell, in the meantime, was also as thrilled as Wahlberg, saying "I'm glad to be here. I first became a fan of Mark's when I bought his workout video," later jesting "And I love all your 'Bourne' movies."

Wahlberg brought his model wife Rhea Durham and their four kids, Ella Rae, Michael, Brendan Joseph and Margaret Grace along with him during the sidewalk ceremony. When making his acceptance speech, Wahlberg took nearly 2-year-old Brendan on stage.
