Eminem Stays Atop Hot 200, Outselling Rick Ross

Even Rick Ross who had his previous three albums all debuting at No. 1 can't knock the Slim Shady off the hot spot.

AceShowbiz - Eminem still holds No. 1 position on Billboard Hot 200, making it his fifth consecutive week on top. His latest studio album "Recovery" adds 187,000 copies, forcing a champion candidate Rick Ross' "Teflon Don" which bows 176,000 units to debut at the second place.

Some music analysts, however, are not surprised with this week's result. Keith Caulfield, senior chart manager at Billboard, told MTV, "It's no puzzle. He's Eminem. He isn't deteriorating as fast as some would have thought. ... He was sale-priced at two big box merchants last week and he has a big single [with Rihanna] with 'Love the Way You Lie'."

The second highest chart debut is Sheryl Crow who arrives at the third slot with "100 Miles From Memphis" which sells 55,000. A spot below Drake's "Thank Me Later" which sits at No. 4, there is another new entry, the latest edition of "Kidz Bop Kids" series. The compilation set rounds up the Top 5 with 43,000.

Sadly, all last week's new entries ranging from Korn, Newsboys, Sting, Jerrod Niemann, Hellyeah and M.I.A. are not able to retain their positions on the Top 10 as the rest of the chart are secured by Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" at No. 6, "Now 34" compilation album at No. 8, Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" at No. 9 and Lady GaGa's "The Fame" at No. 10. The seventh spot, meanwhile, is claimed by new release "JONAS L.A." soundtrack album.
