The show will welcome the reigning President of United States to talk about political issues as well as personal ones.

AceShowbiz - President Barack Obama is set to make another history, this time in television world. It was announced on Monday, July 26 that the U.S. leader will appear on ABC's "The View", meaning he is the first sitting U.S. president to visit a daytime talk show.

The episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, July 29 but the President would tape it first a day prior. In his appearance, he would talk about heavy issues like the oil spill in Gulf of Mexico, jobs and the economy. However, he will also be asked about his family life and what it's like to live inside the White House.

To mark the occasion, Barbara Walters will also return to her seat as a host after months in recuperation of an open heart surgery. "We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on 'The View.' ...This shows that both the president and first lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news," Walters said.

This is not the first visit of Obama to "The View". Together with his wife Michelle, the President was campaigning for U.S. presidency in March 2008 through the talk show.
