Producer of 'V' is aware that 'not as many cards were turned over' last season so they want to correct that while the producer of 'Fringe' said it's not the end of Leonard Nimoy's William Bell.

AceShowbiz - Two sci-fi panels invaded the third day of San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 24 to give away little details of what to expect in the next season. First up was ABC's "V" which was attended by most of its lead cast including Morena Baccarin and Scott Wolf. It was explained that new characters will be introduced and war between human and alien intensifies.
The discussion started with what happened after Anna feels her first human emotion. "It starts in episode one, with the continuation of the Red Sky story, and an explanation of the fact that Anna felt human emotion for the first time, and unleashed the Red Sky early, how that really starts to screw up the whole plan that Anna had come up with," said producer slash writer Scott Rosenbaum.
Rosenbaum then talked elaborately about his plan of Chad. "We're also going to meet Chad's father, this year, in the middle of the season, and I think that meeting his father is going to shed some light on why Chad has made some of the decisions in his life that he has." Anna's mom Diana will also be introduced in the first episode as a mean to explain where the visitors come from.
"The Fifth Column will develop further," Rosenbaum added. "One of the things that we realized over the course of the first season was, if the Fifth Column is really going to be credible taking on the Vs, it can't just be four people. They have to expand, so there's a new character introduced in the first episode who's a scientist, who has information that fits into the developing puzzle and begins to answer the puzzle that is the Visitors."
Meanwhile, the cast of FOX's "Fringe" mainly talked about the alternate world and how their other versions look like. John Noble who plays Walter said he actually trained to lose weight and get shaped in order to portray a younger version of himself. Meanwhile, Anna Torv said about her character, " 'Our' Olivia just wants to be the best, but [the other] Olivia just wants to win." She added that changing wigs can be quite exhausting.
Jasika Nicole also shared her alternate version, saying "Astrid doesn't have the emotional communication in the alternative universe which she does in this one. She's kind of a loner." As for Broyles, Lance Reddick said, "Currently, Alt Broyles' loyalty lies with Walternate, [but] he's a bit of a maverick, so I guess we'll see just how that loyalty and relationship plays out."
But the biggest blurt coming from the cast was the possibility of Leonard Nimoy reprising his role as William Bell. "Should we be able to convince him to come out of retirement, we have another story to tell," executive producer Jeff Pinker said. In the meantime, guest starring appearances will come from Andre Royo and Amy Madigan.
"V" is not going to return on ABC until midseason while "Fringe" returns September 23 on FOX.
