Movie

The depicter of the title character suffered minor injury to his shoulder on Monday, July 12, but he has been back on the set again on Wednesday, July 14.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds may portray a superhero but it does not mean he cannot be harmed. On Monday, July 12, the lead actor was injured on the set of "Green Lantern" in New Orleans, where he reportedly has a separated shoulder and was "in lots of pain." He was said "keeping ice on it."

However, a production source has told E! Online that Reynolds only suffered a "minor injury" and the mishap did not delay the production. In fact, the 33-year-old star has returned to the set on Wednesday, July 14 and continued the shooting to meet June 17, 2011 release schedule in the U.S. There is no word yet on what caused the injury.

In another news, Comic Book Movie has reported that the first look at Reynolds in Green Lantern costume will be debuted next week on the cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Dropping the bomb was Managing Editor for the publication, Jess Cagle, who told Gale King during her talk show on AM 1150, "Next week's cover will be Ryan Reynolds as The Green Lantern so that should be pretty cool."

"Green Lantern" will be one of the movies that will be brought by Warner Bros. Pictures at this year's San Diego Comic Con. The panel for the Martin Campbell-directed action adventure film will take place on Saturday, July 24, but it has not been known whether there will be any star of the movie that will show up at the presentation.

Following Hal Jordan, the alter ego of Green Lantern, who is also an ordinary man chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur to receive a green energy-powered ring used for protecting the planet, the movie also has Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard and Blake Lively among the cast ensemble. The first two will play the villainous characters, while the latter will portray Jordan's love interest.
