On the day packed with panels for superhero, sci-fi and horror genres, Sony Pictures will bring 'The Green Hornet' and action comedy 'The Other Guys'.

AceShowbiz - The schedule for the Friday, July 23 programming of 2010 San Diego Comic Con International has been released, revealing that the day will be filled with a lot of discussions about the works in superhero, sci-fi and horror genres. On this early weekend, Sony Pictures will get more spotlight as they bring not only one but two of their upcoming releases.

From 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., the studio will inhabit Hall H to present more sneak peeks from "The Green Hornet" and "The Other Guys". Scheduled to come to represent the superhero film are cast members Seth Rogen and Christoph Waltz. Meanwhile, the panel for the action comedy will see the appearances of Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and Eva Mendes.

But before that, Summit Entertainment will hold a panel for Nicolas Cage's "Drive Angry", an action thriller that will be made in 3-D, from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Other action movies, James Gunn-directed "Super" and Jonathan English's "Ironclad", will invade Comic Con later the same day.

For those craving for some horrors, panels for Guillermo del Toro's "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" and "30 Days of Night: Dark Days", which will serve as a sequel to "30 Days of Night", could help quench the thirst. Among the panels for sci-fi works, meanwhile, there will be a presentation for Universal Pictures' "Skyline".

10:30 A.M. -11:30 A.M.: Summit Entertainment: Drive Angry 3D (Hall H) - The cast, comprises of Nicolas Cage, William Fichtner, Billy Burke and Amber Heard, as well as filmmakers will showcase never-before-seen footage of this high-octane, blood-spattered road trip through hell.

12:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M.: "IDW and Their 'Bro" (Room 8) - Representatives from IDW and Hasbro discuss what's coming up next in the world of "Transformers", "G.I. Joe", and the impending relaunch of "Dungeons & Dragons".

12:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.: Archie Comics: "Cooler Than Ever!" (Room 24ABC) - There will be plenty of surprise announcements about the future of Archie Comics, including the latest news about Archie on television and in feature films with panelists including executive producer of "The Dark Knight" and Archie writer Michael Uslan, among others.

12:00 A.M.-1:00: Skyline (Hall H) - Universal Pictures, Relativity Media, and Rogue Pictures present an exclusive look at the "Skyline". Colin and Greg Strause unveil an exclusive Comic-Con trailer and scenes from sci-fi thriller "Skyline", along with stars Donald Faison, Eric Balfour, David Zayas, Scottie Thompson, and Brittany Daniel.

1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M.: Motion Picture and Television Production Designers (Room 32AB) - Motion picture and television production designers might take us to a 1930s prison break, a '50s drag race, a '70s disco, or even today's Comic-Con.

1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M.: Super (Hall H) - Writer/director James Gunn, stars Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler, Nathan Fillion, and Michael Rooker, and producers Ted Hope and Miranda Bailey reveal footage from their latest feature production "Super", including the first peek at Rainn and Ellen Page's costume design.

2:00 P.M.-3:30 P.M.: Comics Arts Conference Session #8: "Where Are the Action Chicks?" (Room 26AB) - Discussion of why comics, television, and movies do not depict more action heroines and look specifically at why movies starring traditional comic book superheroines are nearly nonexistent.

2:15 P.M.-3:45 P.M.: Miramax Films: Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (Hall H) - Producer/co-writer Guillermo del Toro and director Troy Nixey present a first look at their new film "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark".

4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.: Entertainment Weekly: "Girls Who Kick Ass: A New Generation of Heroines" (Ballroom 20) - EW moderates this discussion with Jena Malone, Anna Torv, Chloe Moretz, and Ellen Wong and Mary Elizabeth Winstead about the next generation of female action heroes and the power and privilege of playing young women who are nobody's arm candy.

4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.: Sony Pictures Entertainment: The Other Guys and The Green Hornet (Hall H) "The Other Guys" - Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, and co-writer/director Adam McKay will be appearing in person.

"The Green Hornet" - Confirmed to appear in person to unveil this early look at "The Green Hornet" in 3D are the Hornet himself, Seth Rogen, director Michel Gondry, writer Evan Goldberg, producer Neal Moritz, and actor Christoph Waltz.

5:00 P.M.-6:30 P.M.: "Scribe Awards/Media Tie-in Writers Panel" (Room 4) - Presenting the fourth annual International Association of Media-Tie-in Writers (IAMTW) "Scribe" awards. Nominees on hand include Alina Adams ("As the World Turns"), Max Allan Collins ("G.I. Joe"), Keith R. A. DeCandido ("Star Trek"), Stacia Deutsch ("Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"), Jeff Mariotte ("CSI"), Nathan Long ("Warhammer"), and Dayton Ward ("Star Trek"). Awards presenter Lee Goldberg ("Monk").

5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.: "Spotlight on Drew Struzan" (Room 7AB) - See the premiere screening of excerpts from "Drew: The Man Behind the Poster." Featuring exclusive interviews with George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Frank Darabont, Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg, and many others.

6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.: The Goon Film Panel (Room 24ABC) - "The Goon" creator Eric Powell joins Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler from Blur Studio to discuss the animated feature film adaptation of the comic book series.

6:30 P.M.-7:30 P.M.: "Thomas Jane and Tim Bradstreet's RAW Entertainment" (Room 4) - The crew from RAW Entertainment discuss their exciting slate of current and upcoming projects in comics and film.

6:30-7:30: "Old School American Horror" (Room 32AB) - Featuring legendary horror icons and the hottest names in the genre, the cast of Hatchet II presents an old school American horror panel.

7:30 P.M.-8:30 P.M.: 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (Room 7AB) - Director/co-screenwriter Ben Ketai, graphic novel creator/co-writer Steve Niles, stars Keile Sanchez, Diora Baird, and Rhys Coiro, and producer J. R. Young are on hand for an exclusive sneak peek, panel, and Q&A session.

7:30 P.M.-8:30 P.M.: Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods (Room 9) - Get a first look at the upcoming feature-length documentary chronicling the life and work of one of comics' greatest writers, Grant Morrison.

8:30 P.M.-9:30 P.M.: Ironclad Panel and Footage (Room 7AB) - Filmmakers Jonathan English, Andrew Curtis, and Rick Benattar will screen an 11-minute battle sequence from the film and host a Q&A afterward with a special surprise guests to appear.
