San Diego Comic Con 2010 Thursday Schedule: Selected Movie Panels

The likes of 'Megamind', 'Tron Legacy', 'Salt' and 'The Expendables' will fill the first day of the convention this year with the cast and footage promised for the panels.

AceShowbiz - San Diego Comic Con International has unveiled the Thursday, July 22 schedule for this year's event. Early the day from 10.00 A.M. to 11.00 A.M., DreamWorks Animation will present "Megamind" with voice cast Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill and director Tom McGrath promised to attend and unveil new footage from the film.

At 11:15 A.M. until 12:45 P.M., Walt Disney Pictures will make use of Hall H to once again promote the long awaited sequel to "Tron", "Tron Legacy". Director Joseph Kosinski, producers Sean Bailey and Steven Lisberger, and cast members Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and Bruce Boxleitner are scheduled to show up.

Sony Pictures Entertainment will later start the presentation that afternoon by bringing "Battle: Los Angeles" and "Salt". Michelle Rodriguez, Aaron Eckhart, producer Neal H. Moritz, and director Jonathan Liebesman will come to represent the action sci-fi, but Angelina Jolie who plays the titular character in the action thriller has not been confirmed to be in attendance.

And as it has been announced before, Summit will present "Red" at this year's Comic Con, invading Hall H starting at 2:15 P.M. until 3:15 P.M. Later, still on the same day and place, Lionsgate will hold a panel for "The Expendables" while Universal is going to present its upcoming release "Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World".

10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.: DreamWorks Animation: Megamind (Hall H) - "Megamind" stars Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill and director Tom McGrath join forces to unveil footage from DreamWorks Animation's November 5 release.

10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M.: TheOneRing.net: The Hobbit (Room 7AB) - Chris Pirrotta, Cliff Broadway, and Larry D. Curtis, staff members from TORn talk about the latest on the two coming "Hobbit" films, including mainstream news, spy reports, and rumors. Special guests are a possibility.

11:00 A.M.-12:00 A.M.: The Clockwork Girl (Room 9) - Producer Sean O'Reilly as well as Alexa Vega and producers Sean Covel and Doc Wyatt talk about the feature film and show an exclusive featurette for "The Clockwork Girl".

11:15 A.M.-12:45 P.M.: Walt Disney Pictures: Tron Legacy (Hall H) - Panelists include filmmakers and talent from the film: director Joseph Kosinski, producers Sean Bailey and Steven Lisberger, and cast members Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and Bruce Boxleitner. Moderated by Patton Oswalt, the discussion is set to include exclusive glimpses of the film, as well as a Q&A involving all panel participants, along with special surprise guests.

1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M.: Sony Pictures Entertainment: Battle: Los Angeles and Salt (Hall H) "Battle: Los Angeles": Appearing in person are Michelle Rodriguez, Aaron Eckhart, producer Neal H. Moritz, and director Jonathan Liebesman.

"Salt": An exclusive and surprising look at Salt to be brought to Comic-Con, featuring some very special guests.

2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.: Walt Disney Animation Studios: "Character Creation!" (Room 5AB) - Disney Animation's upcoming release "Tangled" introduces a fresh and irresistible new bunch. Nathan Greno and Byron Howard (directors), Glen Keane (animation supervisor), and other artists from "Tangled" discuss the creation of their unforgettable characters.

2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.: DC Focus: Geoff Johns (Room 6DE) - The new chief creative officer of DC Entertainment, Geoff Johns can be expected to deliver even more thrills and excitement as his focus shifts to bringing the DCU to life outside of the comics, starting with the "Green Lantern" film and many other surprises.

2:15 P.M.-3:15 P.M.: Summit Entertainment: Red (Hall H) - Director Robert Schwentke and the film's stars will share footage from the film and debut the final trailer.

3:30 P.M.-4:30 P.M.: Entertainment Weekly: The Visionaries (Hall H) - A discussion with geek gods J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek") and Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") on the future of pop culture. Moderated by Jeff "Doc" Jensen.

4:45 P.M.-5:45 P.M.: Lionsgate: The Expendables (Hall H) - Lionsgate presents exclusive scenes and the inside scoop on every punch, kick, and bloodied lip from the most iconic cast of heroes and villains ever assembled, including the director, writer, and star Sylvester Stallone, along with Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews.

6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.: Universal: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (Hall H) - Genre-bending filmmaker Edgar Wright, graphic novel author Bryan Lee O'Malley, and the cast of Universal Pictures' "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" provide a sneak peek of summer 2010's epic of epic epicness. Q&A to follow.
