AceShowbiz - Soulja Boy is not completely missing from Twitter. The rapper who invited questions when he deleted his @SouljaBoyTellEm account over the weekend, has announced that he did not try to quit the microblogging site but rather changed the user name and had it verified.
"Shoutout to all the media sites that posted I deleted my twitter becuz of a dumb ass trending topic lol basic asses thanks for the promo," Soulja said in one of his new tweets. He was referring to the trending topic of #ifSouljaBoysARapper which led to such posts as "then Windows 7 was really my idea" and "Stephen Hawking is a triathlete."
In his new account, he said also that the change is a smart move. "How many fake accounts were there while I pulled my genius plan?" his tweet read.
As of Monday, June 28, Soulja has earned back his 2 million followers and thanked those who found him again. Earlier this year, the rapper was reported to be earning up to $10,000 per tweet from his various sponsors.
