Jerry Seinfeld on Lady GaGa: I Hate Her, She Is a Jerk

The actor has changed his 'optimistic view of Lady GaGa's gesture' as he says, 'She's a jerk. Giving the finger, what is she giving the finger?'

AceShowbiz - Jerry Seinfeld no longer takes "an optimistic view of Lady GaGa's gesture" during the San Diego Padres and the New York Mets game at Citi Field in New York on June 10. Though a day after the game Seinfeld's rep said that GaGa's obscene behavior was "a sign that she wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do," Seinfeld has now changed his tone.

"You know, I changed my mind. I hate her," Seinfeld stated during a recent interview on New York's WFAN Sports Radio with Steve Somers. "I can't believe they put her in my box - that I paid for! You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now? I mean...," later adding "It's pathetic."

Seinfeld further revealed that he didn't know GaGa took over his box until he showed up later on for a night game. "No, how would I know anything? I wasn't even there. I came for the night game and heard all about it. That was a double-header that day, remember?," he explained.

"Oh, she's a jerk. Giving the finger, what is she giving the finger? Speaking of interesting and new... how old is the finger?," Seinfeld mused. "Get an act - rhinestone bikinis and giving people the finger? She is talented, I don't know why she's doing this stuff."

"I don't know what these people think or how they promote their careers," Seinfeld later said. "'I'm older, I'm 56... I'm not one of these 'all publicity is good' people. People talk about you need exposure - you could die of exposure. I don't understand how this is good for her."

Lady GaGa herself has defended her obscene gesture in which she attended the game by wearing a bra, flipped off photographers and drank beer. On June 12, the "Poker Face" hitmaker wrote on her twitter page, "A middle finger is more New York than a corporate ambush. I bleed for my hometown, and I'd die for my fans."
