In the newly-unveiled nominations of 2010 Teen Choice Awards, David Beckham, LeBron James, Apolo Ohno and Albert Pujols will be up for Choice Male Athlete prize.

AceShowbiz - Full nominations of 2010 Teen Choice Awards have come out on Monday, June 14. And Victoria Adams' soccer player husband David Beckham has become one of the strong contenders for Choice Male Athlete, going head to head with NBA player LeBron James. Beckham is no stranger to the prize as he won the awards in 2008 and 2009, while James has been nominated in the same nod but hasn't had chance to bring home the prize.
Beckham and James will face New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees, U.S. Olympic short track speed skater Apolo Ohno and St. Louis Cardinal first baseman Albert Pujols. Meanwhile, Serena Williams, who won Choice Athlete: Female kudo in 2004, is for the umpteenth time nominated in the category. She will face Candace Parker, Danica Patrick, Misty May Treanor and Lindsey Vonn.
Aziz Ansari, additionally, is nominated for Choice Comedian. The funnyman, who recently hosted 2010 MTV Movie Awards, will face off Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Chelsea Handler and George Lopez. Lopez will win the award for two years in a row if he is able to bring home the prize this year.
2010 Teen Choice Awards, which is held to honor the year's biggest achievements in music, movies, sports, television, fashion and more, as voted on by teens ages 14 - 19, will be aired live on Monday, August 9 at 8/7c on Fox. Some performers for the night reportedly include Miranda Cosgrove, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. Beside performing for the night, Katy Perry is also tipped to host the show.
