'Shrek Forever After' Wins for Three Straight Weeks at Box Office
Movie

The 3-D animation does not get strong competition from newcomers 'Get Him to the Greek' and 'Killers', making it land atop the chart with an additional 25.3 million dollars bow.

AceShowbiz - "Shrek Forever After" still rules the North American Box Office chart after it was debuted three weeks ago. The 3-D animation which has Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz among the voice cast takes the top spot although it drops about 41.2|percent| of ticket sales, collecting an additional $25.5 million cume.

Despite its low opening bow compared to its predecessor "Shrek the Third", the fourth installment of the DreamWorks' film series manages to win for three straight weekends since it once again does not get equal competitors. "Sex and the City 2" and "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" failed to become a champ last week and now "Get Him to the Greek" and "Killers" also cannot beat out "Shrek Forever After".

The Jonah Hill and Russell Brand-starring comedy and the flick which sees Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl playing a couple, however, manage to crack the top five by securing the second and third places respectively. "Get Him to the Greek" earns $17.6 million, while "Killers" collects $15.8 million.

"Prince of Persia: Sands of Time", in the meantime, is forced to drop one place to the fourth with an additional cume of $14 million. The action adventure movie is followed by last week's runner up "Sex and the City 2" which only adds $12.3 million revenue to its current domestic gross of $73.1 million.
