Dennis Hopper to Be Laid to Rest in Town Where 'Easy Rider' Born

The actor, who passed away on May 29 at the age of 74, will be buried on Wednesday, in Taos, New Mexico, the town where he wrote and shot his legendary film 'Easy Rider'.

Hopper's family and friends will head to Taos for the memorial service on two private planes. The site further revealed that a few months ago, the late legendary actor made a secret and last visit to the town along with his children.

"He was dressed really nice and looked like an English gentleman with his long coat and his hat," Bonnie McManus, from the Mable Dodge Luhan House, said as quoted by the site. "But he was so frail and thin."

On another news, Dennis Hopper, who loved to spend time behind lens to snap photographs, will have his stunning portraits displayed at Dennis Hopper Double Standard, a retrospective of Hopper's visual art at Los Angeles.

The exhibition, which will be curated by Julian Schnabel, is set to be opened on July 11 and feature more than 200 photographs, sculptures, paintings and other pieces. Several artists, actors and politicians who appear in Hopper's portraits include Martin Luther King Jr., Dean Stockwell, Ed Ruscha, Robert Rauchenberg, and Andy Warhol.
